Caught in a rainstorm and my iPhone X stopped working

I was caught in a rainstorm and my iPhone X stopped working. The phone itself seems to work because when I plug it in it makes the correct sound. Unfortunately the screen is black and not working! I was wondering If there is anything I can do because I just received this phone from my dad over the holidays and I really want to be able to use it! Online it says that the X should be waterproof, and travel up to three feet under water, but it was only in the rain for two minutes before i put it away. I have done the rice thing and Siri still seems to work on random occasions, but I really hope that my phone can work! Thank you so much, and happy New Year!

No iPhone is waterproof.

There is nothing written anywhere by Apple that says any of there iPhones are waterproof. The iPhone X is water resistant and meets the laboratory specifications for IP68. The testing was done in laboratory conditions with the water temperature controlled as well as the placement of the phone and there is no water pressure added. This would not be the case with rain.

The iPhone is specifically not warranted for moisture damage. Make an appointment at your nearest Apple Store and have them diagnose it.
