Macbook Random Shut Downs

Bought my new macbook yesterday, since yesterday it has shut down 4 times unexpectedly. Investigated it being some sort of overheating issue but even on idle it will shut down at around 85% charge, only coming on again after connecting the charger. Wondering if this is some sort of battery issue and if i should take to apple and get a replacement.

New MacBook Pro randomly shutting down. Just bought a MacBook Pro 2019 edition which has arrived today and has been running fine until it randomly shut down out of nowhere with it being on around 70% battery. This issue has continued to happen around 7/8 times since intermittently and can only be turned back on by plugging the charger in. Have looked around online and seen similar issues being fixed by rebooting the SMC, tried this and it still hasn’t fixed the problem. Trying to see if updating it to the current software will make a difference or solve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be and how I can fix this properly?

My MacBook Air 13” 2017 shuts down unexpectedly when battery is more than half charged. Then indicates needs charging. After computer shuts down and then gives indication needs charge showing empty battery. I then plug computer to charger. The computer boots up and shows charge where left off which is usually 50 percent or more. Don’t think I’ve ever used it past 50 percent battery usage due to this issue. How do you fix this issue not sure if it’s a battery issue or a system issue? When I pull up system report it shows battery as condition as normal with a cycle count of 226.

Resetting SMC could solve the issue.
