Hello,

I've recently bought a laptop with a usb-c connector. I've connected my phone to the type c port but it does not show up in itunes, but when I use the usb to lightening cable, it works fine.

Is there any driver(s) im missing?

Laptop - Asus Vivobook 15 with Windows 10

Hi riazbal,

Thanks for posting your question about connecting your iPhone to your computer. I'm happy to see if I can assist.

For confirmation, your iPhone 11 appears in iTunes as expected when you use the Lightning to USB cable, but it doesn't seem to be recognized when you use a Lightning to USB-C cable. Is that right? Or are you connecting to the USB-C port using the standard Lightning to USB cable?

If one cable and port combination seems to work as expected, you might want to try testing a different Lightning to USB-C cable if you have one available; does that help? You could also try using the same cable and port to connect a different USB-C device to your PC; how does that work? Knowing this would help narrow things down as a starting point.

Depending on how that goes, there may be additional steps here that are helpful: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Best wishes.
