Find My iPhone - Play Sound “pending”

When using “Find My” to locate an iPhone, after tapping “Play Sound” it says “pending” and just stays there, no sound ever plays.

(We eventually found the missing device, and confirmed that no sound ever plays on it.)

“Find My iPhone” was turned off on the iPhone in Settings. *DOH!* (Had turned off when migrating data & settings to a new phone.)

It would be nice if a message could display telling the user this. Example: “The device you’re trying to locate has has ‘Find My iPhone’ turned off, so we are unable to play a sound on it or locate it.”

”Pending...” implies that something is in process and it will eventually play a sound.
