Uber Driver app issues with CarPlay

Whenever I have my iPhone XR plugged into my 2019 Nissan Rogue, the Uber app switches to CarPlay audio, no matter what other source I am using, whenever the Uber app makes a sound, (if listening to Sirius, FM, CD etc, switches over to carPlay when Uber sound is made. I use Waze for Navigation, and if it the active (top) APP, this wont happen, but if the Uber app is on top, it hijacks whatever I am listening to, and switches too carPlay... Very annoying... Any ideas.

Unfortunately, it seems like an issue between Uber app and Apple CarPlay. Only happens while Uber driver app is running. I don’t want to turn off all of their sounds wrong never know when I get a trip request. But other than that every time that app is the top most app and I’m plugged in to Apple CarPlay it automatically switches over to an Apple CarPlay sound important. Works fine with Waze Google maps etc. and will stay on any input but not Uber. Unfortunately their support service is about as helpful as an ice cube in a snowstorm…
