Apple Music app skips to new song after 30 seconds

I see this is a question that has been asked multiple times, but none of the “solutions” I’ve found has given me a resolution.

I listen to Apple Music in my car, with my iPhone 8+ connected via Bluetooth to my Ford with Microsoft Sync. Frequently when I open a particular album and select a particular song it will play about 30 seconds of the song, and then skip to another song on the album. I cannot find a setting or maybe some kind of “sampling” shortcut or anything that I do different between times it does this and times it plays the whole song. What the heck is going on?!

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're having playback issues while listening to Apple Music with your iPhone via Bluetooth in your car.

Is the song you're having trouble with streaming? If so, test the behavior after downloading the song: Add and download music from Apple Music or the iTunes Store - Apple Support

If the song is downloaded for offline listening already, then let's have you remove the download, and attempt to play the song while streaming: Delete music, movies, and TV shows from your device - Apple Support

It isn’t just one song — it happens to a bunch of songs on multiple different albums, and it doesn’t seem to matter if they are already downloaded to my device or if they are having to reload from the server.
