Pressure sensitive live wallpaper not working

I’ve kept the default live wallpaper on my iPhone XS since first buying it. I noticed a loss in function with the latest update. Previously I could press lightly on my screen to cause the live wallpaper to motion slowly, or pressing firmly to see it motion quickly. Its rate of motion was dependent on how firm I pressed on the screen. Lightening up on my touch would slowly reverse the motion of the live wallpaper. It was really cool, worth showing off or handing my phone over for someone else try it.

My live wallpaper no longer functions like this. Instead, pressing on the screen only triggers a simple on or off motion of the wallpaper. The touch pressure is no longer recognized.

Is there a setting that was changed with the iOS 13.3 update? If so, I can’t find it. Anyone else experiencing the same issues, please reply. Same if anyone finds a solution.

Hello SchultzAE,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that your live wallpapers are not working as they previously did before you updated the software on your iPhone XS. In a situation like this I recommend backing up your iPhone and reinstalling the software. The following article has the steps on how to backup your iPhone:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

By using the steps as listed under the heading "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" from the following article you can reinstall the software on your iPhone:

Best Regards.
