Can start Mac because won’t connect to keyboard

So I went to reboot my computer. It had been off for several days. When it asked for the password the keyboard won’t connect to it. It is a Bluetooth keyboard. Is there a way to enter the password using the mouse which does work?

Hi.

Sorry you're having an issue with your keyboard.

Unfortunately there is no option for entering the password with the mouse.

Have you tried reconfiguring the primary power coupling in the keyboard? (I tease. 😉)

A fresh set of batteries might do the trick, especially if you're using rechargeables.

If it's an Apple Magic Keyboard plug it into a USB port for an hour to top off the built-in battery.
