AirPods volume low on Android phone

The volume of my AirPods is low while playing on my Android phone (one plus). I have tried going to settings > developer options> disable absolute volume it didn't work any suggestions. thanks

If I'm understanding correctly, the volume on your AirPods when connected to your Android device sounds low. I will be glad to assist.
