Password won't open encrypted folder

I have an encrypted folder that I've never had difficulty opening, but now when I try to enter my password, the disk image just flashes but does not open. The password has never been changed, so would going to my time machine and trying to restore it to an earlier date work?

This one won't open, I can open it using Disc Utility, Open Disc Image, it asks for the password and then I can Show in Finder. So it isn't a disaster but is rather a pain. After updating to 13.5.1, secured folder won't open I alllowed my M1 MacBook Air to upgrade to 13.5.1, now my secured folder won't open. I know the password because I've used this folder almost daily for years. How do I get this folder to open again? There is a lot of information in there that I need. I have used Time Machine and I restored a backup from before I upgraded and it fails to open also. Help!

Encrypted folder and now it's read only This is a revisited question as the link describing action has been broken. I encrypted a folder and now when I open it, I cannot write to it even though I am the admin with 'write' privileges. Get Info shows me as having read and write, but just above that is says the folder is read only. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Over?

Never mind...I just recovered the folder through my Seagate Back-up.
