How to find & delete printer driver?

...so I can re-install? I'm having issues with my printer (it won't print). Trying to diagnose, so I want to uninstall then re-install the driver. But I can't for the life of me find where it's located on my iMac. And what do I do once I find it, simply drag to the Trash & empty?

Okay, I suspect some other issues with what may be installed on the computer. Please do the following:

Please navigate to the Mac App Store and download the free version of EtreCheck OR please click www.EtreCheck.com where you will find the app. Once you downloaded the free app and created the report please post it as your reply to this message. In order to post it, please use the following link for more detailed instructions on how to correctly include the results:

We can then look for obvious issues that may be causing your problem.

I removed the printer but am unable to re-add it. I followed the directions per the link, but was unable to take any action – no update appeared in the App Store, and when I tried to update the two unrelated apps that did appear to have pending updates, it said I couldn't, it didn't recognize me as the user, even though it's my computer and I've owned it for 6 years. The it said there was an "error" with the App store and to try again later. So I feel completely stuck, unable to do anything.

It's a Brother HL-L2300D, fairly new (manufactured 12/2018). I downloaded the latest driver from Brother's website, but my Mac doesn't automatically detect the printer, as I cleared it by resetting the printing system. I then attempted to re-add the printer but don't see any way to do this. I don't know if the issue might be that the printer's USB port was damaged and that's why it isn't being detected. I've tried to print on two computers, using two different USB cables, and in all cases, each comp indicated "printer offline". So maybe the printer itself needs to be repaired, idk.

The Failing HD meaning the computer is going to fail soon. The computer should either be replaced (it's already 9 years old!) or fixed with a new HD or preferable a SSD. It is also starved for RAM. You basically have a computer that is worth $0 that requires about $300-$400 in repairs and upgrades. Personally I'd put that money towards replacing the iMac. If that is what you decide to do and you decide on a new 21.5" iMac get one with a minimum of 16GB of RAM and the largest SSD you can afford. Something well under $2000 should do the trick. If you are in the US you can also look at Apple refurbished computers which have no downside. They have the same warranty as new, are eligible for AppleCare, are identical to a new machine and can save hundreds of dollars.
