Command + H won't hide Safari

Picking up on this thread... https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1347245

iMac 27-inch, Late 2012

macOS Catalina version 10.15.2

Still unable to hide Safari using the shortcut Command + H. Other programs appear to behave normally when using the shortcut and Safari is the only program with the issue.

I am guessing there is no solution out there and my Mac is getting older so I am sure Apple will stop supporting it soon. My work Mac is a lot newer and I am not experiencing the issue.

Who knows but frustrating all of the interesting quirks that Macs have these days. Not worth the premium price.

Command + H hides Safari on this Mac.

Menu option Hide Safari from Safari menu in the Safari menubar works.

Startup in Safe Mode and then restart normally.

That will take care of these kinds of minor glitches.
