Cant live without my WORD and EXCEL!

So how can I get rid of Catalina since it has restricted the use of my purchased and licensed apps? I am in the mist of applying for jobs with resumes that are all in WORD DOCs that I can no longer access, edit and present too would be employers due to this "UPGRADE". I really cant afford to buy new apps so my MacBook Pro is useless for what I rely on it for. I have not had time to figure out what else I've lost due to the upgrade. I am not a tech so if there is a fix out there Please let me know.

If possible, and I do remove Catalina will I have all my apps back? I looked and now to purchase the apps its a yearly use fee

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Revert your Mac to a previous macOS version - Apple Support

Or you could upgrade your Office product.

Or you could use a free product like Pages or LibreOffice.
