Macbook has LCD water damage...HELP!

Some water has spilled just a little bit in my bag where my laptop was sitting in. It was very unfortunate that the charging ports of my MacBook Air 2019 were facing the bottom of the bag, allowing easier access for the water to enter. When I opened my screen, it looked as if the water was under the screen, and where my dock is (bottom) it seemed to get much brighter than the rest of the screen (only 1/4th of the dock is this way). I left my laptop off and in an opened into a tent position for about a day and a half. Now when I leave my screen on, a portion of the screen became very dim and discolored. it glitches as well. when I close out of apps I can see it still just faded away, and then it slowly fades away. My laptop still charges, my keyboard still works, and everything seems to be normal but the LCD. Before anyone refers me to a Mac repair shop, I wanted to know if there were any suggested remedies before I spend $700 to fix this issue.
