Apple Watch Face Explodes

While wearing, the case on my wife's 38MM 7000 series Apple Watch got hot and the screen exploded/popped off. It appears that a cable/ribbon was severed in the process. The nature of this incident could have led to not only damage of the watch, but to the wearer in this case, my wife. What options do I have moving forward to make a claim?

None, it doesn't look like it "exploded" as there are no burn marks, it looks like the battery failed and swelled, as lithium polymer batteries sometimes do when they fail, and pushed the screen off. This happens with lots of devices that use this type of battery.


There is no such thing as a Series 7000 Watch, that is the type of aluminum that was used. Click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page to start the service process.
