How do I remove/stop a network connected Mac from my network.

I Connected to my wife's MacBook via the network.

Now I want to remove it since my sidebar no longer shows all the folders I have dragged onto it.

How do I do this? In doing so, will my sidebar revert to the original list?

And while I have your esteemed attention, when connected, why are folders locked?

Many thanks

Sorry. I have one foot in the grave, and have spent 3 hours trying to sort out this issue, searching all over the web.

Thank-you for assuming I am intelligent and have all my marbles - sadly I don't.

I'm not being facetious. I've tried several solutions. I suppose I could tell the wife to shut down her computer, but I merely want to return to how things were before I connected.
