My password is being recognised everywhere else but not on my Macbook (Settings). Have tried advice given on previous post https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8315669 but no verification code is sent. Nothing happens at all. I am not changing my password AGAIN (this doesn't work either)!
Any assistance from Apple would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Support by e-mail or chat Work through the screens to get a chat option.
Or fill out and submit this form. The form is for iTunes, but it will get passed to the ID Support section.
Thanks so much for trying, Eric, but I can't even get it to ask for a verification code. Please see attached video - you can see that I have successfully signed in online but when attempting to sign in through Settings, nothing happens.
