Weird "clicking" sound when i walk on my right Airpod pro

Hello, I just unboxed this brand new pair of Airpods Pro but I noticed that when i walk, or run, my right Pod makes like a weird "clicking" sound. Did some of you experience the same thing? And can someone one help me, or have any advice?

Hello, L0ree_.

I understand that you are hearing an odd clicking coming from your right AirPod. I want to look into this with you.

I would first suggest that you choose your AirPods Pro ear tips and use the Ear Tip Fit Test to ensure that you have a proper fit. Having a proper fit means that music sounds better and that Active Noice Cancellation works more efficiently. If the clicking happens when you are moving, it might be that adjusting the fit resolves the issue.

I wanted to make sure you had this Apple Support article: AirPods Pro Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode

I would be curious to know if the clicking can be heard when either of these two modes is active. Or when neither are in use.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards.

L0ree_,

That is good information. Thanks. I would like to see if the sound continues under two conditions.

  1. Could I first get you to reset your AirPods? Then, please pair them back to your iPhone.
  2. I would also like to know if the clicking continues when your AirPods are paired to a different audio source.

If the sounds continue after each of these troubleshooting steps has been performed, then the issue is likely a hardware issue with the AirPods, and I would ask that you contact Apple Support for service options.

If the issue isn’t audible when connected to a different audio source, your iPhone is what to look at next. I would first start with a restart and also make sure that it is up-to-date.

Restart your iPhone

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best Regards.

Hello sterling r,

first of all thank you for your replay, yes the sound appears when Im walking / doing movement; I tried all 3 different sizes of Ear Tips but that doesn't resolve anything and I tried changing the modes but I can always heart it unless Im listening to music in a loud way.

Thanks again for your help!

Best Regards.
