Apple pencil1

I'm having trouble with pairing apple pencil with my ipad pro. Whenever I try to pair them it only shows a sec that its connected and then drops and starts searching again. I've tried already to restart ipad, tried to forget device in bluetooth menu, nothing helps. It only shows connected for a sec and then drops again.

How to pair 1st gen Apple Pencil with iPad without the USB-C adapter? Anyone have any third party suggestions that they know work for pairing iPad 10th gen with the Apple Pencil? I was told mine would have the adapter in the box and it does not, so now I’m screwed Without an adapter [Re-Titled by Moderator]

What version iPad Pro and what version Apple Pencil?

When was the last time the Pencil was charged up and used with the iPad Pro?
