Nobody on these boards can, and nobody at Apple will(unless you happen to have gotten it from Apple or an authorized reseller). Ask the seller to remove the lock or give you a refund, or if applicable, ask the people running the site or store where you got it for a refund.

You might be truthful but not the seller.

Activation Lock is a theft deterrent feature with no bypass or workaround.

Sorry, without the owner's authorisation, no thief or anyone including you can re-use the device.

Unfortunately, if the previous owner can not, or will not remove the lock, the phone is useless to you. Activation lock can not be bypassed.
