Scanning document/taking photo from desktop doesn't work

Scanning document/taking photo by right clicking the desktop of MacOS Catalina 10.15, Macbook Pro retina 13 inch mid 2014 doesn't do anything with the phone, Iphone SE, software version 13.1.13. Bluetooth and wifi enabled on both devices, they are paired and able to exchange files (airdrop). This has worked in the past only intermittently, shame.

iPhone SE, iOS 13

Hello eriksan,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to use the Continuity Camera feature on your Mac to use your iPhone to take a picture or scan a document as expected. To help with this, please make sure you're following the steps in this Apple resource on the Continuity Camera feature, including making sure your Mac and iPhone are fully up to date.

Use Continuity Camera on your Mac

You can figure out if unexpected behavior is related to a user file or setting by trying to reproduce the issue from another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Cheers!
