Does anyone know how to get Preview application to duplicate a PDF document? I used to be able to do this in Mojave then upgraded to Catalina and I can no longer do this?
Open Preview>>File>>Duplicate
Error I get is The file couldn’t be saved.
The PDF is encrypted / locked / otherwise unalterable / you don't have correct permissions, or the folder containing it doesn't have the correct permissions.

You could click once on the PDF in Finder, and press ⌘+D to duplicate it prior to opening it in Preview. As John Galt has pointed out, there seems to be something else going on with your configuration.
