Preview - merged pdf but cannot open document with adobe

Having merged pdf files using Preview 11.0 I now find one of the merged pages will not show on Adobe. 'There was an error processing a page' is the error message I receive.

I'm running Catalina and having other issues with Preview when downloading pdf files from safari.

Any help appreciated

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.15

Try printing the merged file to pdf (Print... then PDF->Save as PDF...) The resulting file should have no problem.
