app store updates missing

I had to set up my phone as new to fix a battery issue. Now - the app store update badges are not working (they are enabled) and the section under personalized recommendations, where the "updates available" section should be, does not exist. So I am not seeing any updates. There are no badges on my account picture nor on the app icon. Auto updating is turned off, I prefer manual updates. How do I get the available updates back? I connected to iMazing and it shows there are definitely updates available. IOS13.3/iPhone SE

Hey techmom1,

If I understand correctly, you do not see updates available on the iPhone. It may be that you are signed in with a different Apple ID than was used to download the apps.

Update apps or use automatic downloads

It's not very scientific, more desperate than anything, lol. I held the App Store icon til the menu popped up and selected update. I did it 3 times then rebooted. That's after I checked in Settings that I did indeed have all banners, badges, etc., enabled for the App Store. On the second reboot, the update number showed up on the picture in the App Store. The next day, the update number was on the App Store icon on my main screen. Perhaps coincidence, perhaps luck, but it won't hurt anything if you try it. Good luck! Let me know... Btw, you are aware that you have to refresh to see the number icon, right? Pull down on the App Store screen. I didn't realize that either, so I'm sure it didn't help me solve it.
