Scanner use on my Brother printer/scanner

to print one needs to install a driver from the printer manufacturer

Download VueScan software it has saved my Samsung M2885F and Fujistu Scansnap scanners from landfill and saved me a shedload of money.

This is only true if the drivers are available. Samsung ( HP ) have not supplied anything for M2885F. I downloaded VueScan software and it works great.
