iPhone 6s Severe Battery Drain Even When Not In Use/Switched Off

iPhone 6s Severe Battery Drain Even When Not In Use/Switched Off

I had a new battery put in under the Apple £25 replacement scheme last November. All was fine until a couple of weeks ago when the battery started draining extremely fast. This would happen during the day and even when turned off overnight i.e. I'd go to bed with an 87% charge and it would have 1% or be dead in the morning. The battery health is 93% and I have tried doing a complete factory restore from scratch. All software is up to date with background app refresh off. Any ideas? If the battery says it is 93% healthy, can I assume something is wrong with the phone to cause this?

The above was raised by another user however I have exactly the same problem. I also had my battery replaced by Apple. The response from the specialist simply pointed to a general article on 'iPhone battery and performance' which I have read but cannot see how this answers the problem.

My battery may drop 2% over an hour whilst switched on but then drop 40% over an hour whilst completely switched off.

Thanks for responding. Are you saying that Apps consume power whilst the iPhone is completely powered down? Or is it when powering up and all of the apps kick in?

As above, the problem started suddenly and without adding any new apps. Appreciate that an update to an existing app could be an issue and I will review the battery usage.

Thanks again.
