I know I can hold Option in the Finder Go menu to get to the user library. I have a clone of an older system I can't boot into. I would need to access the user library on that drive. I can get to the user and see the user contents, But I can't see the user's library. Is there any way to do this, perhaps using a Terminal command?
Any assistance would be most appreciated.

You need to either be in the folder which contains it or supply that folder's path in the field. For example, /Volumes/drivename/homename/Library can be reached with the whole string or by navigating to /Volumes/drivename/homename/ and putting in Library.

Open the home folder on it, choose Go to Folder in the Go menu, and provide Library as the path.

That just bongs for me.
The first way, putting in the whole file path string from the Volume gets me there perfectly.

Thanks Niel. I get a bong when I enter Library in Go to Folder. Do a need a specific string line ~/Library or some such?
