Macbook Pro - one usb c port doesn't work, and battery icon always shows power adapter plugged in

One of my (2016 or 2017) macbook's two usb c ports is not working at all. Starting at the same time, when not plugged in, the battery icon shows that it is plugged in but not charging. The battery does charge when plugged in to the working usb c port. However, when not plugged in the battery percentage will actually rise and fall.

Any ideas?

You can try an SMC reset and a PRAM reset, but most likely you will need to take the laptop to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be repaired.
