I'm trying to move contents from my iphone 7 to my new iphone 11 pro. Both phones are plugged in, are beside each other, and I moved the sim card to the iphone 11. I go through the different set up screens on the 11 but seem to get stuck on 'Software Update' - I hit 'download and install', something seems to happen, but them i'm stuck on this screen.

I've had similar issues. I've had this now happen with 2 phones. An iphone 11. Now on the iPhone 11pro I bought today. Both online orders and in store pickups at the same store. I'm trying to go from and iphone 7plus. Stuck at download and install. When you press it, it will say update requested. Then disappears and you get stuck in an endless loop. What a bummer for me. Seems I'm back to the store yet again. One other note. Both phones I had this issue on were unlocked.

There is an issue currently effecting a lot of people. Did you purchase via at&t by any chance? Seems so far it’s only at&t phones. Some people have had success updating via computer doing DFU mode restore but I’ve that personally and it hasn’t worked for me.
Yup, those are the same screens where i kept on getting stuck. I just kept on going back, erasing the phone, and starting over and eventually it worked. So much for an easy set up. hopefully yours is working now!
