Imac running extremely slow and apps crashing

hey i just got a new imac 3.5 quad core 2017 and its already running extremely slow and many apps keep crashing. I also cant open outlook or word any more for some reason they just freeze and do nothing. here is my etrecheck

Someone said a drive may be failing? is that why outlook wont boot up? what could be causing outlook not to load i need that for work immediately, please help, thanks.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

It is starved for RAM, please install 32GB of either Crucial.com or MacSales.com RAM. 8GB is the bare minimum to use Mac OS and you have some major league apps and use Chrome which is a known RAM hog.


Also, while this has no bearing on performance there is no evidence you backup the computer. At a bare minimum you should be using Time Machine to back up the computer, without a sound backup strategy you will lose data, this is not a matter of if it is a matter of when.
