Is there a way around the activation lock besides using an apple ID?

recently purchased a second hand Iphone 7, and I went through itunes and did a factory reset. However, I don't have access to the previous owners info to get passed the activation lock. Is there any way I can get passed the AL without the previous apple ID? Any suggestions or tips would be extremely helpful

If you're able to submit a proof of purchase that shows the serial number or some identifier of the phone in question, Apple will remove it after a given amount of days. Over the phone or in store, you need that proof.

Not without contacting the person who set the lock or the iPhone's original owner. It's an anti-theft measure.
