add gmail acct
I tried to add new gmail account to my MAC desktop. It kept froze on me after step by step. I even make sure I went to google account enabled IMAP. Same thing it won't let me add! PLEASE ADVICE!

Did you have it setup before on this Mac?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
