Mac OS Catalina keeps disconnecting bluetooth devices

Hi, I am using MacBook Pro Late 2016 model and Mac OS Catalin 10.15.2.

After the update to Mac OS Catalina, my bluetooth devices - Bose speakers, headphones, mouse keep disconnecting randomly. Even if they are connected, Mac OS is not able to find their audio output and delivers a very low sound.

As per few articles on the Internet, I have tried deleting the /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and resetting PRAM but nothing helped. Please provide a reliable and valid solution for this issue.

PS: I have tested my bluetooth devices with other laptops / phone and they work perfectly fine.

I was having the same problem, until I read a solution related to delete the Bluetooth plist entry. Did that, and Bluetooth didn't work anymore. Until last night. I watched a video on Youtube and the solution shown didn't work, but I figured it out by myself.

Go to the following page...https://developer.apple.com/download/more/
Search "Additional Tools"
Download version 11.4, and install
Open "Hardware" folder, and execute Bluetooth Explorer. A Bluetooth icon is shown on Apps Bar. Click there to open the App.
Under the "Tools" menu select "Modify Software & Device Configuration
On the "Setup (Auto BTSA)" square, click on "Go". The computer will restart, and Bluetooth will be Active again, and no more disconnecting problems.

I turned off my WIFI completely for 10 minutes I didn't have problems but then I started to get disconnected again for my Magic keyboard and trackpad!

Same here... another method that didn't work for me :(, I can't use the apple mouse nor the airpods? come on Apple, it's so annoying, I don't want to buy another wired devices. :/

Press shift + Option/Alt at the same time as you click Bluetooth in menu bar.

Click on Debug > Remove all devices.

Open the menu again and click Debug > Reset the Bluetooth module.

Just an update. The problem still exists under Big Sur running on an iMac Pro. I guess we might need a completely new thread on that OS's support pages.

I was able to resolve the issue by setting up a new admin user and log with my iCloud account and if I delete the old user account the problem comes back, very strange...

My bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and earbuds work fine up until on a zoom call, and after the keyboard disconnects to save power, it can't reconnect again until the zoom call is finished.

This is driving me NUTS! The keyboard keeps dropping out. I have done everything, Taking me 5 minutes to write this. Bought a cheap Macanilly wired board to finish this post.

It was my RAM! I replaced my RAM with OWC RAM on my Mac Pro 2013 and I didn’t have any issue all day with Apple Mouse trackpad AirPods magic keyboard for the first time since 2 years!

Ive been having this issue since last year. MAcbook Pro 2018 here. Wahts going on? Can anybody help? Bluettoh keeps disconnecting like more than 10x a day and its so frustrating!!!

Found it last night..... Sys Prefs, General, uncheck "Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices
