I am trying to update my apps Microsoft Solitaire, messenger, facebook, etc and i get this message ''cannot update app.'' ie ''messenger'' cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different apple ID. i have had this phone for a number of years and never had this problem before.

Has the phone been set up with a different Apple ID at some point in the past?
Did you make sure, that you are logged into the AppStore with your correct Apple ID?
Did you try to delete the apps and download them again, using your purchase list?
