Archive email folders to External Disk

How do I Archive email Folders with emails in them and store on an External Disk? Can I group multiple folders together?

You can, if you are storing them on the computer. Mac OS X Mail stores its files in Users -> Library (frequently hidden by the operating system) folder under Mail and Mail Downloads, only if you told it to store folders locally on your computer. POP based email settings automatically store on the computer. IMAP and Exchange do not.

Generally it is a good idea if you want to archive them, to archive them to two distinct locations. One could be on your internet provider, the other could be on your computer. Storing them one place depends on that one place not failing. All storage mechanisms can fail with age alone.
