Cannot save excel or word file in macbook air 2020 using office 365

Hi

i cant save excel file.

clicked on save. a menu opens. i clicked 'on my mac' button and the 'menu' disappears. nothing comes back to say whats next.

Plz help new apple user

I use Office 365 on my Mac but haven't seen or heard of that problem before. In addition to this forum, you may want to also check or post to the Microsoft Word for Mac forum to see if someone there can help.
