iMovie plugins

Hi,

I want to add plug-ins to iMovie in order to increase the Transitions and Effects.

Is this possible?

How?

Are there official Apple plugins?

many thanks

iMovie does not accept plug-ins. However, you can use other apps to create effects and transitions that you can apply to clips. Then export the clips from the external app and import the clips into an iMovie project. For example there are lots of effects and transitions that you can add with the free Keynote app that is already on your computer or can be downloaded free from the app store.

You can also use different project Themes from within iMovie to get different transitions. You can crib some effects from the Trailer feature by converting the trailer to an iMovie project and then copying out the effects to another iMovie project.

Importing slideshows, even with videos in them, from the Photos app can provide different looks and effects.

iMovie 6 has lots of effects and transitions that you can apply to clips, export them out, and then import the clips into iMovie.

So, there are some options.
