I can’t update my phone number connected to my Apple ID.

Because it needs me to verify that number is mine. But the number connected to the Apple ID is my old number. I can’t get into my Apple ID to change the number.

You aren't getting a verification code so you can log in? See if anything here helps. If necessary, you can use account recovery as explained in the link at bottom of the article.

From the article below. It also covers not being able to sign in.

If you use two-factor authentication and can’t sign in or reset your password, you can regain access after an account recovery waiting period.

They’re sending a verification code, but it’s to my old number so I can’t verify it. Thank you for the link, but the recovery process seems to only be about resetting the password. I know my Apple ID and password, I just can’t sign in because I no longer have the phone number it’s sending the verification code to.
