How page

I have a new MacBook Pro. When I try to change the Safari home page, it will not let me change it. I have followed all instructions to the letter. I can type the new one in, but it will not save it. It goes right back to the Apple homepage.

Ive searched for a solution and tried what seemed to be the most common solution which was to locate the safari.plist link in the preferences but my system doesn't have that file to even attempt moving it anywhere like people suggest. 2022 MacBook Air Safari issue I have both a MacBook Air and iMac. Safari won't load pages on either computer, although Google loads just fine. I have checked connections reloaded internet, wifi checks, emptied history, rebooted, etc.I really need to connect to my yahoo email account which is on Safari. Can anyone tell me what is going on? I hope it's not because of the new OS Monterey.... I also don't understand why the new Monterey OS is 32+ GB and it states that my MBAir is compatible when I only have 8 GB Ram. Why would Apple do this when my MBAir is less that 6 months old? Really, does this mean I won't be able to upgrade to the new OS?

Safari format changes immediately after opening My Apple Mac is opening Safari in any chosen website but changes the original page layout after one second of time to a very different format. How can I stop this?
