iphone audio memo

I have an iphone 8, 13.3. English is my first language but I have a Spanish language keyboard option as well. I often speak my messages (texts, etc). Since a fairly recent update, my Spanish audio no longer works; it seems to 'think' I am speaking English. I would appreciate help in returning it to the way it was, when I could switch my keyboards back and forth and speak in either language accordingly.
