iCloud and multiple user accounts

Hi,

I'm using seperate user accounts on my mac for different purposes - one each for family, work and photography. Each account has it own files - different documents, desktop files etc.

Can I use one iCloud account to store files from all of these user accounts? If so, what's the best way to do this?

thanks

David

I have wondered similar things. Do the users use the same Apple ID? (I think this is possible on the same machine.) But, if yes, what you suggest doing would result in a mess. Everything you sync would end up on both machines. Assuming the users have different Apple IDs, then perhaps you could use Family sharing. See:

Also, consider this possibility:

Thanks donv,

Yes, that's what I was wondering about. I currently am using only one Apple ID for all of my user accounts on a single Mac. I'm simply using them for different purposes.

So, I haven't tried it yet as was thinking the "Documents" and "Desktop" uploads from one user may replace that of the other users, resulting in them all having the same files, and the loss of many files.

I'll look into the family sharing approach.

cheers
