Audio regions moving when trimming and dragging?

I have the most annoying bug which has just started to occur. Whenever I drag to change the audio region size it then jumps to the left or right the amount that I've trimmed off?? This is literally making Logic Pro X useless and I have an album which is due to be completed by the end of the month and I would really like it if someone could tell me a fix if they know of it? This is happening on all new projects that I create and I don't know what to do.

My logic is fully up to date.

Here is a gif showing my issue:

Please help ASAP if you can, thank you guys x

Guys I've resolved it... for some reason the drag option was set to "shuffle r" rather than my normal x-fade. I just changed it back and it now works fine. I feel so silly I didn't even realise, why anyone would ever want that feature I do not know. But all is good now!!

Thanks for getting back to me Ben!

I have tried rebooting logic and my laptop but to no avail. I really don't know what to do...

I am running Logic Pro X 10.4.8 on a 2016 MacBook Pro which is running macOS Catalina.

I didn't change anything that I'm aware of, but also I got this message after restarting my laptop which I don't remember seeing before:

Just really need this to be solved ASAP for my work :/
