Virtual keyboard covers text when typing. Text no longer moves up automatically so one can see what has been typed.

Is this happening with multiple apps or just a specific few? If you’re not sure test with a few apps. It may help if you force close the app you’re using and restart your iPhone as well:

Restart your iPhone

Also, check for updates to your iPhone and the app as well:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update apps or use automatic downloads

If the issue continues, delete one of the affected apps and restart your iPhone. Install the app back on your device, then test again.

Thanks for going through those steps. If this is happening with Mail and you’ve already completed the other steps, removing the app, restarting, and reinstalling could have an impact on this. If you still have issues after reinstalling the app, try reinstalling iOS and see if this has any impact on the issue:

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
