Iphone 7 stopped paring with BMW Carplay

Friends' phones are pairing with my car fine. I recently updated to IOS 13.3.1 and pairing for me stopped. I've done all the suggested fixes in these various posts. And I get soooo close. The car sends the code. The phone says "pair" then says "use CarPlay." Then the car says "pairing, this may take a while." Then the bluetooth says "BMW Connected." Then... My hopes are dashed. "Pairing failed." And/or "Unable to establish connection." Why, apple? Why? Please help! Thx!

Thanks. Did all that. Several times. Great call with Apple tech last night. They were baffled and recommended I contact BMW and, if they have no news, restore my phone to factory settings. Happily BMW is well aware of the 13.13.1 glitch and they are hard at work on a patch. Hopefully they will have good news for us soon. They said they won't send a notice, but the BMW forums should carry the news when there is any.

Have your BMW forget any previous pairing of your phone. Have your phone forget your BMW (Settings > Bluetooth > tap the little circle with the i in it , then forget this device). Then force restart your iPhone --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Then try to pair it again.
