Xpcproxy high CPU usage

I have a 2017 Macbook Pro 13 128gb non touchbar with MacOs Mojave 10.15.3 installed. Every day I constantly get the process xpcproxy using high percentage of CPU during the course of the day. Mostly between 50 - 80% cpu usage the whole day. I scanned for viruses and malware but nothing turned up. I googled like crazy but cannot find the answer to this. Anyone have a solution?

Catalina high CPU usage (nsurlsessiond, WindowServer, trustd) My Macbook Air has been running smoothly and without issues for 7 years, then I update to Catalina and boom! the fan is going crazy from time to time. When looking in Activity Monitor, it seems that the top CPU-using processes are nsurlsessiond (60%) WindowServer (50%) trustd (40%) Even with all apps closed (including ones that usually live in the menu bar). I've also logged out from all the Apple bloatware (iCloud etc) which I don't use anyway. As absurd as it sounds, the only thing that seems to help (sometimes) is to quit Activity Monitor... other times I just shut it off and go use my Macbook Pro instead, which is running Mojave. Any ideas what could be causing this?

cpu threads - kernel_task The activity monitor app on my MacBook Pro 13 inch, 2018 model, shows that the kernel_task is using 200+ threads, the next highest thread count is about 40. Is that too much and if so is there a way to fix it without damaging anything else?
