Erasing iPod classic 80gig

I want to wipe a old iPod classic 80gig. There is no option to do so in it, and while iTunes recognises it, it will not give me a summary tab to get to restore (pictured) how do I do this, I’m going mad!

You need to click this device icon first.

Then on the device's summary tab you should have an option to restore it.
