Hi, I’ve been having this lingering issue since I moved from iPhone 4s to the 6s plus. I am unable to use the default mail system that came attached with the phone. When ever I try I’ll be told to go to settings and re-enter my gmail password and there I always get “there’s no connection to the internet” but there’s connection. How do I solve this problem?

I've done this hundreds of times and nothing is lost, once you add the account back, everything will sync back up again.

Try deleting the account, restart the device and reinstall the account.
Try connecting to wifi.
Use recovery mode, click here If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
Thank you but I’m unable to uncheck my CONTACTS from the list of accounts. Have any idea how I can uncheck it. It seems the “re-enter password” and “delete account” are the only active links on the page
Hello Razmee. I’ve one more issue, perhaps you can help out again. I’ve been trying to erase all content and settings on my old iPhone 4s so I can give to someone but I’m required to “enter your restrictions passcode” and I don’t even know it. I’ve never come across that. How can I go about it. Been trying through google
