2019 CarPlay won’t connect to IPhone X.

Hello, I just purchased a Mercedes Benz C300 with CarPlay. I’ve tried multiple times and ways to connect my phone (IPhone X) with no luck. I’ve tried several different cables (in case one was shorting out, or in case a non factory cord didn’t work), I’ve tried re-booting my phone. Ive tried the other port to make sure things weren’t wired goofy. I even had my husband try his Android and he had NO problem connecting to the Android interface.

When I plug it in, it initially sees it (I have CarPlay pulled up in my car), but then it disappears from connected and recognized devices.

I’m SO frustrated. I’ve never had such a challenge in connecting. Help please!
