MacBook Pro AppleCare Issues

How genuine is this “claim” that the Apple store/AppleCare are giving me?

Hello Apple Community, I’m a UK student being giving the run around for a faulty logic board. I’ve had my MacBook Pro since July 2019 and it was bought as a present from my parents for university (From the USA) and when we went to the Apple store the assistant clearly advised us to buy the MacBook Pro rather than the MacBook or MacBook Air as I’m studying an engineering degree so it would be much more reliable. At the time we were also advised that buying AppleCare plus would ensure replacements and repairs would be taken care of internationally. However here I am in February 2020 merely 10months into using it and I’ve been to the Apple store and been in contact with Apple support over 10 times for faulty speakers and 2 logic board replacements (within 2 weeks may I add) and also a red square around the Apple logo as soon as it came back from repair.

Hiya mate - I’ve had a look in my AppleCare agreement for the USA (which is where it was purchased) and it says that a replacement is available in an international country... so why is Apple trying to avoid this clause by bypassing their own warranty and agreements and hence stopping me from doing my work at university. It’s seriously not on!
