No internal speakers MacBook Air Early 2015

I have reset PRAM, SMC, run diagnostics (no issues) and tried in Safe Mode. Still I don't have internal speakers - I can get onto Airport speakers OK. Internal speakers are not shown as an option in Sound Preferences. OS 10.15.3

This has happened before (twice) and an SMC reset has cured it. Any ideas?
